The worth of your potential visitors

Hi all,
the question was: "How it's possible to know which visitor was forwarded from you?". And the next question is: "Which worth got your visitor for others?". Remember! A visitor from your website is a potential customer and this visitor is yours. So you work in this moment like a sales agent. On one hand you have a customer and on the other hand a product from a seller which is interesting for your visitor. In this case you are entitled for a small commission just for forwarding the potential customer. And you are entitled for a big commission when the visitor is really buying the product. The rate of the commission depends on different factors. For example on the product value, the quality of your website and your number of visitors per month (e.g.).
What does it means? OK. A product with a small value, like a book, has only a small commission. Maybe up to 10 percent. 10 percent from 20 Dollar = 2 Dollar commission.
A product with a bigger value has also a bigger commission. A car for 15.000 Dollar = maybe 1.500 Dollar commission. So you can see why a lot of people try to sell estate, because a homestead costs over 100.000 Dollar.
But anyway. In normal case the seller is giving you only a very very small commission. Also sometimes if the visitor is buying nothing. Why? Because there are not so much potential customer on the web. Just a handful.
For your business it means now: With a very exotic theme on your blog or website you will only hava a handful visitors. With a theme which is used very often in the web you can have multiple visitors more. Normally you should know the size of your target group before you start, because you know how normal or specific your theme is. Just think about it for a second...
Back to my theme. The sellers offering different types of commission to you:
- pay per banner view
- pay per banner click
- pay per lead after banner click
- pay per sell after banner click
What about the first type "pay per banner view". Some companies pay 4 Dollar for 1.000 banner views. It means when 1.000 visitors on your website have seen the banner you will earn 4 Dollar. Very easy to understand. Just one small problem. Maybe you need weeks or months before you have 1.000 visitors. Because when you start with your blog or website nobody knows you. The next type is "pay per banner click". For each click on the banner on your website you will earn some Cent. Let's say 5 or 10 Cent per click. Not more. The normal case is a click-through from 1 to 3 percent. It means only 1 or 3 from 100 visitor will click on the banner.

To compare the first two types we calculate with 1.000 visitors:
Type 1: 4 Dollar
Type 2: 3 percent from 1.000 = 30 clicks * 10 Cent = 3 Dollar
